Questa discografia e‘ di carattere esclusivamente orientativo e non ha la pretesa di essere esaustiva. Essa e‘ stata compilata con l’intento di fornire l’indicazione non solo di performance notevoli da parte dei vari batteristi elencati ma anche, e soprattutto, di registrazioni di valore artistico elevato e, talvolta, storico.
I batteristi presi in considerazione non sono certo gli unici degni di nota nel panorama della musica Jazz dagli anni ‘40 ad oggi, ma rappresentano senza dubbio capisaldi dai quali e‘ tutt’oggi impossibile prescindere.
I titoli dei dischi sono elencati secondo la partecipazione del batterista preso in considerazione e sono completi dell’indicazione di casa discografica .
